The Elegant Woman’s “Macros.”

Back in my body building days I used to “count my macros “ today I count my macros another way. Macros or macronutrients are the part of us that makes us alive. Instead of counting the macros that make me feel not enough I’ve decided to flip the entire concept on its head and only count the sexiest macronutrients that will make me feel chic, elegant, & sexy in a little black dress.

The first macro that I count is my diet. I know, I know…I promised the macro would be sexy ones however this isn’t counting my fats, protein, & carbs but everything as a whole. When I refer to diet it’s simply asking myself whether or not I are healthy that day. Not a diet in name but healthy meals that pour into my energy and rebuild the glowiness in my skin.

The next macro that I look at is sensuality. Sensuality is simply using the senses to “wear” your body. Imagine a dress that is held right in front of your body , when you use your senses you are dressed in the dress but when your not using your senses your dress becomes one of the paper doll little dresses and lifts off. I’m not sure if this visualization is tying everything together as I intended but let’s say that it’s sensuality itself that awakens your body and when your not in your sensuality you are then living in a body that is numbed out. Another key to being sensual is that it draws you into the present and when you are in the present moment your body is able to better metabolize stress. Reflect for just a moment Gorgeous on the past few weeks. How many of those days were you actually present in them? This isn’t to beat you up but to make you aware of all the potential that is out there waiting to be revealed with love.

The third macro is Joy. A few years ago I met a woman who introduced me to an ancient law of the Universe, the Law of Delight There is a beautiful story behind the Law of Delight and how she discovered it as one of the most ancient laws, a law older than the ever popular law of attraction however even more powerful than that story is the woman who practiced it. Her name was Isis Jade and she was a survivor of being sex trafficked. And even though she’s a lot like me and has left most of social media behind. I often tune into and listen to old interviews that she’s done in the past and what stands out to me the most isn’t actually the story within the interviews ( which is exceptionally amazing, you can listen to one here ) but the joy that is in her voice . Her voice is so joyful, innocent , and pure that in my own story even though I feel dirty and tainted by all of my assaults that have happened because of my transformation. Listening to her voice gives me hope. We all have joy within us. We just have to be brave enough to play our notes. During one of her classes that I took  she mentioned that studies have been done that tracks fear vs. joy and it’s effects on an audience and that it’s been found that joy travels travels faster through the crowd than fear!

So Gorgeous, while I used to count my macros as protein, fats, and carbs. Joy, Sensuality, and my overall diet are my new macros and while they might seem like an unusual coupling the most unusual combinations in life often are. Some people like fruit loops in chocolate ice cream (I.e. me) or red hot Cheetos stuffed into a banana ( i.e. me again, hey don’t knock it until you try it!) We are all living in this yummy design of life. Why not fully embrace ever experience that we can of life?
