the magic of sinners.

Sinners was one of the magical movies where the culture itself launched the movie. Everyday people were the ones who made the movie reviews instead of critics who hob nosed with others to be in certain circles. “The secret to wearing lingerie is all in how you own it,” is one of my favorite sayings that I would share with my Angel customers at Victoria’s Secret as I helped them find the perfect lingerie style for the body and the movie Sinners, well it felt like a lingerie fitting for the spirit!

The #1 lesson that I personally took away from the movie was too never set down your swag. Typically in movies that depict African Americans living in this time period their often shown under a light of being groveling and subservient however the African Americans in this film, even when being shown disrespect they were the swaggiest ever in an era that they were shown the opposite of swag and respect.

On a spiritual aspect of the movie when it comes to vampires you have to invite them.

You have to invite them in. I believe that women are physically wearing the body of a goddess, their body is not them- their body itself is a goddess. Women had to first desecrate their bodies in order for other entities to be able to desecrate their bodies . I mean goddess as both a literal physical being and as an energy field. Goddessness is a pure essence however whenever you drink, smoke, or do drugs your life essence is literally “sucked” from your body and that entity that you invited in is the vampire.

To me the crux of the movie was the music , one way to look at this thought is are you in tune with your own rhythm?

On both a metaphorical and actual level bodies literally play music or a better way to think of it send off frequencies that most people are unaware of that they are both hearing and experiencing from others and unknowingly playing or radiating themselves. Some bodies play the Blues, some bodies are playing Irish music . And there are some people who have notes so pure in their bodies that they literally wake up the life notes  in other peoples bodies, these people are often attacked the most.

Know when to get out so you don’t become a vampire too. The Cherokee First Nations got the hell out of there as the sun went down. I think we’re living in a time where people are desperate to have a group to belong to. If your group of friends or loved ones are sick get out of there and go with your ancestors ( whatever your Native American roots are). Sometimes you can’t find your own recipe to who you are as women by using ingredients that have gone bad – sometimes you need to lovingly cook with a recipe that is all you own.

It’s almost funny that the movie is called Sinners ( which of course is a play on words and the term) because at the core Sinners is really a story about the deepest core of human beings and our pure musical design that lives within us and how our choices and beliefs as human beings can change the notes that are played .

What do you think Gorgeous? What did you love most about the movie?
